We worked with the Royal Shakespeare Company to evaluate the whole of their site in Stratford upon Avon to look at how to bring more people into the theatre and what interventions we could introduce to achieve this. In collaboration with the Royal Shakespeare Company we designed a scheme which took into account the requirements for hostile vehicle management, emergency vehicle access, the local planning department and being sensitive to the grade 2 listed theatre.
The outcome was the removal of existing outdoor landscaping and the introduction of a pop up performance space for 30 people, and a series of interactive Shakespeare inspired installations.
