Andrew Lock has worked in the theatre, exhibition and architecture sectors for over fifteen years. His clients include cultural institutions such as Southbank Centre, The British Library, The Barbican Centre and the Royal Shakespeare Company and commercial projects for Argent in Kings Cross and the LLDC.
He trained in theatre design before working with architecture and design practices and setting up his own company, LYN in 2009.
He specialises in bringing his understanding of the arts to the built environment, with projects ranging from working with Sir Peter Hall on the design of the Rose Theatre in Kingston upon Thames to acting as design associate at Southbank Centre working on wayfinding, placemaking, cultural activation and curation, temporary and mobile event venues and visitor interaction.
He has expertise in community engagement and participatory design and make processes.
